Richard A. Siegel: Creator, Founder & CEO

Richard A. Siegel, Creator, Founder and CEO of OnlineTV, Inc is an award winning producer, musician & art director. Mr. Siegel is also recognized as a leading authority with regards to the internet. In 1995, he was picked as one of the top webmasters by Fortune Magazine to explain, and demonstrate the internet to the CEO's or the Fortune 100 companies

Born in Chicago, Siegel's talent for music was discovered at an early age and he was deemed a child prodigy. Siegel started his professional career at 14 in music. Later he found himself managing the music careers of Peter Tork of the Monkees, Karen Lawrence, and Jane Brody. It was also during this time that he served as an importer/exporter, currencies and precious trading. Four years later he had built and sold several businesses, including an ad agency, and one of upstate New Yorks first chain of video/computer discount stores.

After an array of successful business ventures, Siegel turned his attention towards computers, where he worked with companies on network design and trouble shooting. From there he went on to build an exclusive client portfolio that included companies such as IBM, Disney, Con Edison, Film Scouts, NJ Water Authority and Exxon. He further strengthened his position in the computer/technology field by creating the TIS (Teller Information System), a banking identification system. In 1982 Mr. Siegel became the 27th member of FidoNet, the first modem-based computer network and a precursor to today's World Wide Web.

With his reputation and clientele in the computer industry firmly secured, he ventured into yet another interest of his, broadcasting. Mr. Siegel served as the Personal Consultant to the President of WNET (PBS), Bill Baker where he was responsible for a major departmental re-organization, resulting in a $40 million (35%) cut in operating costs. It was also during this time that he served as Webmaster/Internet Coordinator for WFMU radio where he was among the first to use streaming audio. Mr. Siegel had foreseen the possibilities for real-time Internet broadcasting.

Mr. Siegel's broadcasting and computer experience lead him to his next work effort as Director of Online Services for MTI/Image Group (Viacom's NYC production arm) where he became involved in all aspects of commercial TV production and brought many of the clients on to the Internet for the first time.

Since 1996, Siegel has been building OnlineTV. The network was conceived and developed to deliver real-time digital entertainment (live TV), including films, music, art, and original TV programming world wide.
